Health Education

Sexual reproductive health is a less-discussed subject in Rwanda. Yet, the consequences of not emphasizing on such teachings are noticed around the country. Young people especially girls from disadvantaged backgrounds are ignorant of their sexual reproductive health hence making regrettable decisions that lead to unintended pregnancy. We conduct detailed training on sexual reproductive health and rights to young people to help them safeguard their future. Moreover, we also perform seminars on other health matters to help youth safeguard their future.

Health discussions:

⦁ We conduct mobilization and campaigns on sexually transmitted diseases in order to bring to attention young people why it is necessary to fight against early and unwanted pregnancy for the good of their future.

⦁ In the campaigns and youth outreaches that we conduct, we also raise awareness on ways to fight against communicable and non-communicable diseases

⦁ We provide counseling support to young single mothers to help them heal from physical, mental, and social distress. We also conduct training on families on family planning and parenting to raise their children in the right manner.

Sexual reproductive health education:

Through seminars and campaigns, we teach youth in schools and youth centers on sexual reproductive health and rights to be well equipped to make the right decisions in their life. Ignorance is part of the main reasons why young people engage in unprotected sex thus unintended pregnancy. Through our seminars, we deliver detailed information to get rid of the ignorance in youth on these matters.

Youth talk:

We bring young people together and facilitate discussions around sexual reproductive health and rights to break the culture of not being open to sexual reproductive health discussions. We conduct these discussions to make the youth open to sharing their mind on these matters to help them take ownership of their life and prevent themselves from making wrong decisions
